To be able to access certain LTA qualifications a basic playing standard is required.
The Play Test allows people to be assessed against the relevant entry playing criteria for a specific qualification.
Once successful on the Play Test, candidates will be able to access their qualification course knowing that their playing ability is the correct level for the start of the course.
This course will enable you to deliver group sessions on your own under the umbrella of a licenced tennis coach.
It is also the required level to teach in schools.
The course is based from orange level to full court tennis. It provides more in depth knowledge and introduces observation, analysis and corrective techniques.
On successful completion of the qualification you will receive the 1st 4 Sport Level 2 certificate in coaching tennis.
After certification you will be able to call yourself a Level 2 Tennis Coaching Assistant.
This is the starting point for people who want to get involved in coaching tennis.
It is the modern introduction into the fundamentals of good coaching. It will inspire and motivate you!
The course is focussed around mini tennis for 8 and unders
On successful completion of the qualification you will receive the 1st 4 Sport Level 1 certificate in coaching tennis.
After certification you will be able to call yourself a Level 1 Tennis Coaching Assistant and must work alongside a licenced tennis coach.
Coaches need to hold an up to date first aid certificate in order to begin the Level 2 coaching qualification and to become licenced.
